I have managed Muskegon County Airport since May 2016 and have been involved in Airport Management since 1996 performing the full-range of business functions necessary to operate, develop and maintain commercial service and general aviation airports and fixed base operations.
Prior to my current position, I worked up the ranks of the airport management field in Arizona starting at the Prescott Airport as a part-time Maintenance Worker, later returning as the Assistant Airport Manager and again as the Airport Manager. In between, I served as an Operations Specialist at Scottsdale Airport, as a Management Intern at Chandler Airport, and as the Projects Supervisor at Mesa-Falcon Field Airport; prior to Muskegon I was the Airport Director in Redmond, Oregon.
My educational background consists of dual degrees from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) with a Masters of Aeronautical Science in Aviation/Aerospace Safety Systems and Bachelors in Aviation Business Administration. I have served on the ERAU Prescott campus’s Business Industry Advisory Board since 2005 and regularly guest lectured on airport management-related courses and provided mentoring and internships for students interested in pursuing a career in airport management.
I have been an Accredited Airport Executive since 2006 and served eight years on the Arizona Airports Association (AzAA) Board of Directors including a term as President in 2010-2011. In 2014, I received “Airport Executive of the Year” by AzAA while the Prescott Airport received “Airport of the Year” honors from the Arizona Department of Transportation.
